Dave Johnson

Dave Johnson, founder of SGI, has over 25 years of business management experience. He founded SGI over two decades ago after recognizing the growing need for a search firm based on a foundation of integrity and long-term mutually beneficial relationships. Dave personally specializes in senior level executive search, new venture development and private funding assistance. As a consultant in the executive search industry, Dave confers to leaders in the Telecom and related IT industries, keeping current with the hottest technologies, executive career trends and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Prior to founding SGI, Dave held regional operating responsibility and was a Senior Management Consultant with highly regarded executive search firms including Management Recruiters International, Robert Half International (Accountemps & OfficeTeam), and Westaff. Dave also spent ten years in multi-unit retail management with a specialty retail division of May Department Stores Company.

Dave also co-founded C-Level Entrepreneurial Partners, after recognizing the need to serve industry with a new breed of consultancy. Dave led the effort to recruit some of the most respected C-Level executives in industry. C-Level Partners represent subject matter experts (SME) in all phases of business from start-up to mature organizations. Partners are selected for their management/leadership style, company cultural fit and disciplines in which they served. C-level Partners serves its clients and portfolio companies as a "full-service provider of business solutions".

James Shellhammer

With twenty years in executive search, Jim specializes in Engineering and Construction Project Management in the Bay Area and Northern California where he uses his extensive industry knowledge to assist his clients in "identifying, recruiting and retaining the talent necessary to maintain a competitive edge".  Additionally, Jim is responsible for the training and professional development of the SGI staff.

Derek Sovereign

Derek is talented at matching the right person with the right opportunity. His recruiting methods focus on matching the needs of candidates with the needs of clients to ensure long lasting successful relationships. Derek works closely with TJ in the northern California market and is a proud husband and father of four loving children.

Kevin Hunter

Kevin has 25 years experience understanding organizational needs. He is a highly effective former nonprofit executive with extensive senior leadership team experience creating vision and aligning teams to achieve high impact outcomes. His proven track record in large scale project implementation at both the regional and national levels is very valuable in the search business. Kevin has been a lifelong resident of the pacific northwest and enjoys golf, the Puget Sound outdoors, wine tasting, and enjoying the rich craft of brewing, wine making, and distilling.
